Splitting Spain

Jamei came and picked us up at the hotel and drove us to the airport. I was happy to see him again and to have a guide and translator to negotiate the airport. We made it through numerous security screenings and then found out at the end that the flight is completely full. There was one seat in first so Debbie is sending me ahead by myself.

I’m glad to be in first class again but sad to be alone. There is a young man in the seat next to me who looks to be about ten years old. He is playing a video game and fortunately the sound is turned off.

It’s just about time to take off…

…Oh how sophisticated I feel eating shrimp and capers with lemons and olive oil. Yes, I am a roman at heart…

With no one to talk to I am catching up on my movie watching. I think I dozed off during the second one (men who stare at goats). The Fantastic Mr. Fox is on at the moment. “What the cuss?”

I have made it to Dallas now and I am waiting for the St. Louis flight…

Home, sort of. I’m at a birthday party. What a day. Debbie is in North Carolina and spending the night there. Sleep tight, I’ll see you tomorow.
